Job Overview

The Marketing/Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing company-hosted events, coordinating Cambria’s externally-facing events and communications for specific strategic public/media relations. The Marketing Lead will manage campaign-related media (including social media), manage social media profiles and presence (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target buyers, develop and maintain promotional materials (e.g., print collateral and advertising), and conduct competitive market research on an ongoing basis. Must be proactive, energetic, collaborative, and creative.

Responsibilities

Event Planning and Coordination
  • Plan and manage company-hosted events related to each campaign, including:
  • Identify targeted attendees,
  • Determine relevant topics and securing speakers,
  • Develop talking points for speaking events,
  • Manage events and plan event logistics (e.g., location, date/time, book venues, food/drinks, Cambria branded equipment, etc.),
  • Plan travel and accommodations logistics, and
  • Conduct conference debriefs
Promotional Materials
  • Work with Cambria team and PR consultant to prepare standard print collateral and advertisements related to each campaign, including:
  • Develop messaging points and elevator speech with key differentiators
  • Develop print collateral in coordination with designer
  • Ghostwrite thought leadership, including case studies, white papers, blogs
  • Maintain Cambria’s webpages related to each campaign
  • Manage updates and changes to promotional materials and webpages
  • Monitor Cambria’s website analytics
News Media and Public Relations
  • Monitor news media
  • Search for industry specific (and competitor) news items and distribute (daily)
  • Track and manage internal industry news updates (weekly)
  • Provides market and competitor information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends (e.g., consumer requirements; competitor's share, competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; etc.) (ad hoc)
  • Maintain Cambria social media presence related to each campaign
  • Coordinate with PR consultant
  • Prepare draft of press releases and work with PR consultant to distribute press releases
  • Coordinate media requests with PR consultant
  • Prepare speeches and talking points for executives (ad hoc)
Administrative
  • Work with Cambria team to oversee marketing activities and vendors, including:
  • Manage external vendors (e.g., review/approve status reports, review invoices, etc.)
  • Facilitate information and content requests from vendors
  • Manage marketing expenses and budget
  • Participate in developing the annual budget
  • Maintain Cambria-sponsored event calendar
Mandatory Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with public relations, event coordination, advertising, or other similar market
  • 3 years’ of marketing experience
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Ability to use key consulting tools like MS Office Suite
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management, administration and organization skills, and strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple activities simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience developing and implementing a marketing campaign for professional services
  • Experience working on a state or national level
  • Experience with governmental agencies or public-sector consulting a plus
