Site Reliability Engineer

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have at least three (3) years of combined experience performing site reliability engineering in two (2) or more IT projects in agile environments.
  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with delivery of IT projects in a cloud environment.
  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have at least three (3) years of experience in the following:

a.           Analyzing and baselining configurable items with Linux based systems;

b.           Monitoring and fine-tuning performance of Linux based systems by reviewing performance and system logs and resolving issues;

c.           Modelling and baselining database configuration items;

d.           Network administration; and

e.           Maintaining system logs, hardware/software licenses, and agreements.

  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have at least two (2) years of experience in availability and business continuity management in a cloud environment.
  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have at least two (2) years of experience in continuous integration and deployment of incremental changes to systems, including each of the following:

a.           Server configuration scripting;

b.           Configuration management tools;

c.           Continuous deployment tools;

d.           Continuous integration tools; and

e.           Continuous monitoring tools.

  • Each Site Reliability Engineer shall have at least three (3) years of experience with software development and design in an agile environment.
  • At least one of the Site Reliability Engineers shall have at least four (4) years of experience engineering and configuring security controls.
  • At least one of the Site Reliability Engineers shall have at least four (4) years of experience performing threat and vulnerability assessments such as cryptography analysis, architecture review, code reviews, attack surface analysis, and/or privacy reviews.

Mandatory Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – in a related field
