“Five core systems rehosted in four days following [an] 18-month planning period.”

The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) faced a challenge to modernize their mainframe-based systems to optimize productivity and provide ease of accessing data – improving these systems means improving various assistance programs and social services that enable low-income individuals and families to sustain a stable and happy living.

Rather than “ripping and replacing” systems, MDHS collaborated with Cambria Solutions and Software AG to rehost on new open systems platform and modernize the interfaces, reducing operational costs and making data accessibility more efficient to serve the state’s citizens.
